Dr. Matthew Jelavic, C.Mgr., P.Eng.
Matthew is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Durham College and Adjunct Associate Professor of Management at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He serves as Board Chair, National President and CEO of CIM Chartered Managers Canada, Board Chair and President of the Canadian Society of Professional Engineers, Board Director with the Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education, and Board Director with Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Canada.
As an internationally recognized management and technology expert and consultant, he is an expert in the field of corporate leadership, board governance and strategic leadership, with decades of experience that encompasses management and technology within the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, both private and public.
Matthew holds a doctorate in business administration, master’s degree in management sciences and undergraduate qualifications in mechanical engineering and industrial technology. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Chartered Manager in Canada and the UK, Chartered Engineer in the UK, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce.
