On Thursday, November 6, engineers, politicians

at a special reception celebrating the Ontario Society of Professional
Engineers' official Toronto launch
On
Saturday, November 8 members had an opportunity to "Get
Involved" at the Society's fourth General Assembly. Engineers,
interns and students gathered in downtown Toronto to examine
challenges facing the engineering profession
The Ontario Society of Professional Engineers
responded quickly to the October 29 announcement from Queen's
Park that the new Provincial Government would lift the cap on
electricity prices. Minutes after Premier McGuinty made the
announcement, the Society issued a press release emphasizing
that an examination of the cap could help accomplish two key
goals
On November 18, engineers had an opportunity
to meet with peers and learn more about the Society's upcoming
Career Development workshops, featured in our latest professional
development calendar. The sold-out event was the first in a
series of information and networking sessions scheduled throughout
the coming year entitled "Shift Your Career into High Gear"
The Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation
for Education (FFE) is asking engineers to get out their cheque
books and help provide much-needed support to the province's
engineering students
