If you’re a professional engineer in Ontario who is committed
to raising the profile of the profession, consider entering

Engineers' Board of Directors. The voting period will take place
from March 28 to May 2, 2005.
This week the Ontario Government appointed Jan Carr, P.Eng.,
as the first chief executive of the Ontario Power Authority
(OPA). The announcement comes on the heels of OSPE’s
recent submission to the province's Ministry of Energy on Bill
100 – The Electricity Restructuring Act, 2004,
which recommended professional engineers be mandatory participants
on advisory committees suggested in the proposed legislation.
The recent tsunami that struck South Asia on December 26 has
left many wondering how they can help. As highly skilled professionals
our members have been expressing their support by offering their
time and experience to assist in any way possible. OSPE and
Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) are calling on Ontario
