And the M2M Contest Winner is…

The Society is pleased to announce Kishor Rajbhandari as the winner of our M2M (Member to Member) Contest. Mr. Rajibhandari participated in our M2M recruitment contest by successfully referring a fellow engineer to join OSPE and in turn was entered in our Dream Vacation Contest. His name was randomly selected from entrants and he won an all-inclusive week vacation to the Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos.

An Intern member of OSPE since January 2003, Mr. Rajbhandari is enrolled in the Engineering Internship program at PEO and is expected to receive his licence in 2004. Mr. Rajbhandari works in the Environment and Infrastructure department at SNC Lavalin Engineers & Constructors Inc., one of the world’s leading groups of engineering and construction companies.

“I joined the Society and actively encourage fellow engineers to join because I believe it is important to be part of an organization that speaks out on behalf of the profession in Ontario” Mr. Rajbhandari said. “The benefits of joining are many and I see direct value in my OSPE membership through a strong engineering community and in the services and programs offered.”

The M2M contest began in September 2003 and ran until January 31, 2004. The contest asked members to help the Society build an even stronger voice for the engineering profession in Ontario by actively encouraging fellow engineers and colleagues to join the Society. Every time an engineer referred by a member joined, the referrer was entered into the Dream Vacation Contest.

M2M is part of the Society’s initiative inviting members to spread the word about the benefits of OSPE membership and encourage colleagues and fellow engineers to join.

Since our creation in 2001, OSPE has made great strides in building a voice for Ontario's Engineers, including advocating for new safe water legislation, adding new member services such as home and auto insurance through EngineersFirst, and offering an exceptional lineup of professional development programs and career services. In order to continue making a great profession even better, we need the support of every engineer across the province. Increased membership means more influence and new members expand OSPE's resources to strengthen and enhance the profession for all Ontario's engineers.

The Society would like to thank all of our members who participated in the M2M contest and congratulates Mr. Rajbhandari as our winner.
