| As
a not-for-profit professional association, OSPE relies on the talent
and practical experience of volunteers. The individual reasons why
engineers volunteer at OSPE vary, but most share a common desire to
effect positive change for the engineering profession in Ontario.
This is your profession and you can
make a difference.
While
there are a limited number of volunteer opportunities available
at any given time, we are asking all interested engineers to let
us know how they might like to help now or in the future to advance
advocacy efforts, develop policy and set priorities. Now that we
are an independent organization with a membership that has chosen
to join, we want to tap into your knowledge and experience. Our
Board strongly supports an active membership and believes that OSPE
needs the expertise of its membership. We understand the
importance of your time, so please take a minute to tell us more
about how you would like to participate.
Simply
login to our “Member’s Only” section at www.ospe.on.ca
and click on “Volunteer.” Use the form provided to complete
your volunteer profile, including details about your volunteer experience
and interests. A document entitled Volunteering at OSPE…What
You Need to Know is also provided to give you an idea of what
input might be required of you or about joining a committee, for
example. It’s that simple. Add your voice to the profession
by taking a moment to login
and add your information today!
If
you have questions on volunteering at OSPE that are not answered
here, please contact OSPE’s Coordinator, Member Services,
Andrea Vecera at avecera@ospe.on.ca
or (416) 223-9961, ext. 222. We look forward to seeing you in person
in the future!
