Popular professional development programs filling up fast

Since launching our first selection of professional development offerings in early September, the Society has seen a very positive response. The popular Hazard Analysis and the Pre-Start Health and Safety Review course on October 6, for example, is filling up quickly. In response to demand from Ontario engineers, the Society is also offering programs in business management, planning, proposal writing, marketing and more - essential skills to help engineers advance into executive roles. One of the highlights of the Society's fall course selection is an exciting Professional Development Day, taking place Friday, November 7 in downtown Toronto. This value-packed program will kick off with a breakfast panel on New Ontario Legislative Developments, followed by a choice of three educational seminars:

  • Hazard Analysis and the Pre-Start Health and Safety Review
  • How to Write Good Proposals

  • Engineering Opportunities as a Result of Climate Change

    Over lunch, attendees will hear a presentation by noted University of Toronto Engineering Professor Kim Vicente P.Eng., on The Human Factor: Revolutionizing the Way We Live with Technology. The day will conclude with a choice of four fun and informative tours of fascinating engineering-related facilities in downtown Toronto.
