Annual Ontario Professional Engineers Awards Gala
It was an evening of ingenuity and elegance as we celebrated
the 61st Annual Ontario Professional Engineers Awards Gala
on November 15th at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Presented
annually as a joint venture between OSPE and PEO, the Professional
Engineers Awards Program recognizes excellence across a broad
range of engineering endeavours, including innovation, professional
leadership, and entrepreneurship.

With introductory remarks by Hon. Donna Cansfield, Minister
of Natural Resources, and Master of Ceremonies duties shared
by OSPE President and Chair Michael Monette, MBA, EDP, P.Eng,
and PEO President J. David Adams, MBA, P.Eng, the evening
was a true treat for the senses; from the soothing melodies
of the Studio C Trio band and the indulgent meal enjoyed amongst
the ROM’s priceless collections, to the visual luxury
of the Engineers’ Art Show and Sale, featuring multi-media
artistic masterpieces created by members of the engineering
community with a portion of proceeds donated to Engineers
Without Borders (EWB).
This year’s awards recipients included:

Joel Hundert, M.S., P.Eng. (Engineering Medal –Management),
Alistair Edward Davie, P.Eng., Milos R. Popovic, Ph.D., P.Eng.,
and Sohrab Rohani, Ph.D., P.Eng. (Engineering Medals –
Research and Development), William Jack Altenhof, Ph.D., P.Eng.,
Constantin Christopoulos, Ph.D., P.Eng., and John T.W. Yeow,
Ph.D, P.Eng. (Engineering Medals – Young Engineers),
