The Foundation is jointly sponsored by OSPE and PEO. The Gold Medal for Academic Achievement is awarded to the graduating student with the highest cumulative standing in the undergraduate engineering program at each of the fifteen accredited engineering schools in Ontario. It has been awarded annually since 1960.
